Two questions. I have tried to search. Burn marks, Not working factory stereo.
Two questions. I have tried to search. Burn marks, Not working factory stereo.
I'm detailing my friend's car to get ready for sale for a coworker's daughter... and since I don't like detailing not-working or problematic cars I tend to try to fix them... here's my latest excursion:
Im having an issue with the Turning Signal light on the dash board.
-The dash board lights for the turning signal do not turn off.
- The lights on the dash board do blink (and click) when the turning signal is applied.
1) I opened the guage cluster, and found there's a gigantic burn throughout the top of the cluster. Im assuming this may be the reason why the lights don't work.
Is it good to assume I might as well replace this cluster and say goodbye to the old one? Im trying to find someone with the same problem here but I haven't been able to get advanced search to work for me favorably so exscuse myself.
As to why the burn is there, I don't know. I'd like to think the alternator is going out on the car.
2) Also. Last night I took out the aftermarket stero system, as per requested by the customer. I placed the stock stereo into the civic, and entered the code correctly. There's no sound from the factory radio.
When I disconnected the aftermarket radio and placed the stock market in it, the stock has 2 connector ports, instead of 1 connector port for the aftermarket. I have not been able to locate any other connector in the stereo housing that could go into the factory stereo.
I'd really like to help as I pride myself in giving the best detail job I can
This is a double thread. I posted the original it in the wrong section. I don't know how to delete the other one.
