Head Gasket / Timing Belt - What parts & Where to Buy

OK, I going to replace my head gasket and do the timing belt works at the same time. The car is a 2004 Civic EX with 112k miles. Obviously I will need the following;

Head Gasket
Exhaust manifold gasket
intake manifold gasket
valve cover gasket
timing belt
idler
water pump
coolant

Should I also buy new head bolts. Anything else?

Also, I wish to use genuine Honda parts. Is there a better source than the dealer used by Civic forum members? Or should I just buy from the local dealer?

Local Honda Dealer. Most likely they'll have to order it from the wearhouse in CA. They tend to ship fast, most of the time it's ready for pick up the next day.

You don't need NEW HEAD BOLTS. But if you are running your car hard & intend to modify and add more stress they it would be advised to get some new ARP HEAD STUDS.

I believe the exhaust manifold / hearder gasket are metal and reuseable. & i don't the the intake manifold needs to be replaced for this process. But if removed go ahead and get a new gasket for that.

But you maybe able to find out more from the dealer what you'll need. If they're kind enough to tell you.

^ You are right. Absolutely no need to replace the head bolts. Civic head bolts do not stretch like other head bolts do so they don't need to be replaced when you replace the head gasket. I would however replace the IM (if you remove it) gasket and the exhaust manifold gasket. Make sure you get your head checked for trueness before you reinstall it. ( By a licensed shop )
