Unhappy Flashing green Key on Dash

Hi can anyone help I have not used my Honda Civic ishift for more than 4 days as me and my daughter were ill come to use it last night and it would not start
I called green flag and he tried it but it seems that there is no fuel getting to the engine he advised that the immoboliser is preventing this which I read in the manual this is so

I have been told to let the battery run flat and it should reset the key I have a spare and that does not work either I really could do with some help here if possible I would like to avoid honda I have never had any problems before apart from a dead battery but that was down to my daughter leaving the rear internal light on.

Please some if you could advise me I would much appreciate it if it means getting towed to honda then I have no choice please guys help

Re: Flashing green Key on Dash

make sure the honda key is the only one near the ignition. remove everything else from the key including key ring and other keys/cards. try it again and see what happens. make sure battery connections are both tight. running the battery down is a terrible idea and all that does is ruin the battery. it will not reset any of the immobilizer programming. otherwise looks like you have to get the dealer to reprogram or check whether the system is working. its posible the immobilizer went bad and its not something the average person or shop can repair. its vastly tied in with many key components in the car including the main computer, starter, and fuel circuits. so you need the honda diagnostic tool to check and upgrade the program.
