GAH! Install problems.
I need suggestions for a way to compress a strut in order to install it:
I have a set of KW v2, just got them back from a rebuild but now the fronts are so stiff i cant compress them to get the spindle attached, any ideas? my jack is to short to reach the strut, and I tried the spindle too but it ends up lifting it outward not up.

Re: GAH! Install problems.
The whole assembly (strut and spring) should already be compressed. You just slid it in up top and then bolt it in top and bottom.
After googling KW V2, I realize you have coilovers. Shouldn't be any difference in the install tho.
Take a pic so we can see what your talkin about.

Thank laz, you are correct I shouldnt need to compress them, at least i didnt before i had them rebuilt but after it took them 14weeks to get them back to me, i wasnt about to send them back for this. Finally got them in today using a scissor jack to lift it stright up.
