rim/tire size

I got some 17 inch rims for my civic. What tire size should I get. I don't wanna go too low on the profile but I know stock profile would look bad on rims that big.

Re: rim/tire size

I'd go with a tire size that messes with your speedometer the least. On my 2002 Civic ex with stock 185/65-15s, the tire size that messed with my speedometer the least was 215/45-17. I'd much rather have a correct speedometer, as well as a comfier ride than go with a tire with the smallest sidewall possible for that "low-pro" look, which will inadvertently give you a shittier ride due to the smaller sidewall, and make your car's speedometer and, by association, odometer reflect incorrect numbers.

use this to help you make your decision.

Re: rim/tire size

I actually don't really care too much for the low pro look. I just don't wanna go with too much or too little sidewall. I know I'll probably have to go with a slimmer tire size to make up for the bigger rim size over stock so my speedometer stays accurate.

Re: rim/tire size

Hey Riceboy thanks for that calculator. It's perfect for my question. After playing around with tire sizes that size rim seems perfect for the profile tire I would need to match the stock diameter.
