Question Has anyone found best way to clean Alcantara & mesh part of 2002-2005 Civic Si seats?

I searched the forums and the only answer I found on how to clean the Alcantara and mesh part of 2002-2005 Civic Si seats was a steam cleaner. Does anyone else knows another proven and best way to clean the Alcantara and mesh part of our seats? Thanks in advance for your time and help.

yeah you found the answer. i would not use any sort of chemical spray since it will most likely either change the color or ruin the fabric. i had to use meguiars spray cleaner on the headliner which is a difficult area, and it left dark stains of its own after removing the initial stain. luckily alot of water and patting finally made it almost like new but from some angle the spots are still there. i would invest in one of those steam pocket hand held steamers that shark makes are stick with that. ive even steamed suede before without damaging it. be sure to not touch the material directly at first, see if you can steam it from an inch away, then quickly pat the stain off with a microfiber cloth. alot of fabric store say you should not even steam it, just use a damp cloth and gently wipe away dirt. but that may not work on a hard stain. its one of those materials you dont want to get dirty in the first place.

Cool thanks.

Anyone tried using suede/nubuck cleaner or eraser with a brush?

i actually tried a couple of those products on some scraps and they ruined my suede. anything that involves "wet" and "rubbing" will almost always change the way the fibers sit. water just destroys the stuff. so im really careful not to get it wet or dirty. when i was ironing my final pieces 1 inch away so only the steam touches it, a few drops of water fell down from the hole and ruined those spots. im lucky tho cause i can always pull off the panel fabrics and redo it... altho i only have spare fabric for one door lol
