Question for Carbon Fiber hood owners

What brand of Hood did you buy and were you truly happy with it? Did it have a nice even grain? Thats the biggest worry I have. Ive some hoods that look like crap because the carbon grain is all uneven. Thanks for any replies

I'm sure you've seen my review of my hood: Fiber Images Carbon Fiber Hood

Am I truly happy with it? Not truly. It's good, but it's not perfect. Even grain? Yes, although some light dopes shine through it when you put it up to the light. You can see the carbon weave seperates somewhat in certain places. Although from any other angle, any distance, the hood looks top notch. The only thing that really bugs me is that the latch is starting to rust. I have to paint it with something that won't rub off when it goes through the latch mechanism.

Fiber Images is the best place to get a cf hood. I learned my lesson. I got mine from www.r-speed.com and its got some broken fibers and some crooked weaves. There are some gaps too. Check the link that Grey provided.

go to www.dgmotorsports.com, They have a special on their CF hoods for $600 (orig. price $800). they have a one year warranty that says the hood will be free from defects. Hope this helps
