After market alternator, any good?

02 civic EX. Need to replace the alternator, anyone use non honda, after market alternators?
Any luck with them?
Don't really want to spend the $250.00 Stealership wants for a Honda alternator..........Any opinons? Any brand in particular to get?

ive had a napa alternator for over 6 yrs. oem lasted me 2 yrs. i find napa quality is usually much higher than other store brands.

I hear a lot of trouble with aftermarket alternators though. A lot of people get the "Blinking Battery" Light. So if your going aftermarket, don't cheap out. Get a Napa or something of similar quality, or it will affect the car. Napa is about one of the only quality places to buy parts in Canada
