96 honda civic. need help with diagnosing 02 sensor malfunction

dtc code p0135 was tripped. its a sensor heating malfunction code. I let the engine warm up and and checked the resistance on the connecter of the heating circuit with a dvom and got an open flow. which leads me to believe that the heater is bad. any advice?

replace the sensor, heating circuit is not repairable. unless you suddenly developed a wiring problem for the heater, but its more likely the actual sensor heater went bad. its not an urgent problem, but you will get worse mileage due to the sensor not warming up as fast.
