just looking for some decent sounds... feel free to make suggestions. looking at a $350-$400 Budget because i was gonna take it to a shop to install and they're quoting me about $175.

My Car is Pre-wired as well. when i bought it it had a JVC Deck with AMP wires running into the trunk with audio wires stashed behind the deck. was going to just have a shop run brand new wires through cause they said about $175 regardless they use the old wires or new wires...that is the total for all Deck, Amp and Sub. let me know y'alls Input pls.

yah, so the Extra Speaker wires are un-used. not connected to anything in the trunk or behind the deck.

as for the remote wire it is unused at the moment as well. not connected in the trunk nor behind the deck. i didnt see the extra wire for it when i was looking at the deck. but it has to be there i guess.

i have a JVC deck, and it only has 1 Red RCA and 1 White RCA. so would this setup work? i just have a few more general ICE questions if you don't mind. wanna learn it all completely.

as for my setup...

*Blue Remote from Deck to Amp
*Red & White RCA from Deck to Amp
*Ground from Amp to Frame

That deck is only set up for one amp them, so you will have to make up your mind if you want to keep it, or updgarde to a deck with 2 sets of pre amps,

and say i used 2 10's it would go like this right?

too confusing for me to figure that out, if go with one amp at first then just make sure the subs are either 2 ohms or 4 ohms, tyically 2 ohms are higher powered, just match them to your amp, or just buy a loaded box and match the ratings to the amp

As for Amping Mids....
is it the same as Amping Subs? Speaker - to amp - and speaker + to amp +?

can i connect say all for wires from rear speakers to the same channel? for example 1 12" Sub and 2 Rear Mid....

Sub: X
Rear Left: OL
Rear Right: OR

so it'd be like this....

or will this not work good?

overall you can have 2 amps, 1 amp say 4 channels to run your speakers, and another just for the sub typically a 1 channel with high power

Also, having 2 Amps...
are you required to have 2 Power Wires? 1 for each amp?

since you have 4 gauge wire from the battery then you can split it at the amp (I forgot the term for the splitter looks like a little box with with one lead from the battery and then 2 outputs to hook wires to each amp) and then run 2 wires fromt he splitter to each amp and then ground each amp

do you think i should amp the mids with 1 12" or 2 10's?
will there be too much base that it wont sound good?

2 10's would be fine as long as you have good power

Finally...since i havent gotten the 1 12" Sub from my friend. (waiting to get it b4 i buy amp so i know the specs)
do they work like this....

1 12" Sub= 800 watts. so i buy a mono Amp of 800watts. (no mids)
1 12" Sub=800 watts. so i buy a 2 channel 1200watt amp (splitting 600watts each for sub and mids)

if i buy 2 10" Subs that equal 600Watts each, i buy a 2 channel amp that equals 1200 Watts (Mids not included) splitting it 600watts per sub.

or would it be better to not max it out and buy like 200 watts lower? like this...
1 12" Sub 800watts- Buy Mono Amp 600watts. (No Mids)
1 12" Sub 800watts- Buy 2 Channel Amp with 1200 Watts (splitting 600watts for sub and mids)

2 10's 600 watts each- Buy 1000 watt 2 channel and split 500watts per sub?

I will answer all above, typically the ratings for the subs are overall power capacity, just get a good high powered mono amp match the ohms to the subs or sub box and you should be good to go, with the hondas do not go too much do not want to drain the alternator, say a quality alpine, keenwood, fosgate amp will do, maybe 500 RMS
