98 Honda civic D16Y7 - is there a OBD2 port
Hi,
I have a 98 Honda Civic D16Y7 (UK model), the CEL came on and rather than going to the garage, I would like to try and conect it to a diagnostic scanner myself. I cannot find the 16 pin DLC/OBD2 connector. Does one exist for this type of model? I can find the 2pin and 3pin connectors in the right footwell but not the 16 pin connector. Any help advice appreciated.
Thanks,
Philip.

Yes, it should have the same connector as the North American model. It is found under the dash in the left footwell, near the outside of the car.
Good luck! Otherwise use a paper clip (or Honda tool) to short the 2pin connector on the right foot well, turn on the key and read the code that way. We can look up the code for you there and let you know what it is.
Cheers!
