94 honda civic ex
Hey guys. I'm new to the forum and cars in general, but I have some knowledge and I have a question.
I am looking at buying a 94 civic ex w/146000 miles. Everything works fine, but there is a transmission noise. It is a 5spd, and my stepdad and I have determined it is the input shaft bearing since it makes the noise with the clutch engaged(foot off pedal). My question is how long I have until this becomes a severe issue. I don't want to pay a grand only to have it break three days later. How long do I have? Can I wait until summer to do it myself if I drive it gently, or should I just invest on having it done now? Is there anything else I should be aware off such as any big issues with this car? I've been told they run forever, but just asking. Thanks!!
P.S.- It is a 1.6L Vtec motor.

Re: 94 honda civic ex
hey man , i have the same problem with my 92 lx ( 221000 miles ), he started to make that noise last dec. and i drove it like that since then , so dont worry you can wait til summer, i dont drive it gently and never break , be aware of if your vtec dont work , check your oil level , and yes they run forever , have fun !!
