92-95 or 96-00
I'm looking to buy a honda civic ex and I plan to fully customize it. I would like to know what is the best generation to get 92-95 or 96-00? I plan to swap the engine, but i would like to find out moneywise and power.

I would go with a 92-95 because technically speaking you can't swap an older engine into a newer car and have it smog legal. So your best bet is go with older and swap a newer block into it. Cost wise (not including the cost of the car) varies depending on what type of engine / transmission combo you are looking to put in the car, and how much engine customization (hp torque) gains your looking to get out of it.
