1995 Civic ex Master Cylinder Replacement
1995 Civic ex Master Cylinder Replacement
I just bought a 1995 honda civic ex today and I am noticing that the master cylinder needs to be replaced. The symptom is the brake pedal feeling spongy and slowly depressing to the floor while at a stop light.
I am somewhat mechanically inclined. Ive done many repairs on my old 1989 crx and im good at figuring stuff out. Is the master cylinder replacement something that I can easily do at home with a basic set of auto tools or are there special tools required for draining the fluid etc...?
I greatly appriciate the time someone would spend to write me a lengthy how-to instruction guide as to replacing this component, or direct me to a previous post on this forum.
Thanks!
Update:
I finished the work today. Was pretty simple. Took about 2 hours and didn't run into any problems.
