95 EX A/C trouble

95 EX A/C trouble The A/C on my 95 Civic EX is not cold (most of the time), only cool at best. A mechanic put in 1/2 lb. of freon, and said the vacuum was good. He said the blendor? slide for the temperature didn't feel right, so maybe it is not closing all the way. Is this something average Joe (me) can fix, or should I take it to a pro? Thanks.
