summer's comming soon and i dont want my car to overheat anytime soon (this is my first 'civic summer')! i dunno anything about anti freeze car maintainance. can someone explain how to go about evaluating wether my car needs more anti freeze or not? does the car have to be cold when i check? how far do u fill- what type should i get.. unlike oil- i dont have to drain the old stuff right?
thanks!
PS what other fluids should i check regularly besides anti freeze and oil? i really dont wanna shell out $200 or more for honda to top off my fluids.... i think i can handle it

how many miles do you have
check
Oil
Brake
Clutch - if manual
Powersteering Fluid
ATF - if auto
also you need to check your MT oil if you have a manual
edit Open your hood and lean in, looking to the left of your radiator... there should be a long white container with a green liquid in it... there are two lines, make sure the fluid is within the lines. If not, i suggest going to honda and buying a bottle of premixed coolant...
