***Looking for some Local Motor Help***
Hey
Coming over from the 350z guys, Ive got a 97 Ex and the motor died and I trying to find a decent place to get a new/ used motor put in. Its my DD so I trying to fix it cheap and quick..
Also might it be better to go find a cheap motor and swap the thing in myself. Ive got decent mech skills, did my whole turbo kit install on my Z. . .
Thanks for the help
Taylor
(Edit Im in the 951 too)

inline4.com if u want to be hardcore. but if u have a engine hoist and a garage just diy find the motor u want and drop it in. just an fyi we all have 7th gens and are not to fond of the 6th gen(we cant relate to them) so check out socalcivic.com and they could help u out way more than we could be cuz they all drive 6th gens and 5th gens. but good luck on ur search and when u go on socalcivic tell admin john regis sent you.

i would check honda-tech.com as well. there more of a 6th gen site. They have a lot crap for sale too, so you can find parts.
I would get the motor from this place. There more legit and comes with a receipt of ownership so you dont have to worry if its stolen or not.
I would get a b18b or b18c1.

since you're local, i'm pretty sure someone from socalcivic.com can redirect you to a reputable shop or go on honda-tech socal section to find answers.
Oh, if you're from my350z.com..you guys have a very entertaining/time killing off topic section. If your the same guy, i think i saw you're thread on there.
Re: ***Looking for some Local Motor Help***
This site use to be called 7thgencivic.com until 2 years ago when they changed owners. Basically the majority of members on here drive '01 - '05 civics where we rarely work on d16 motors.

you can also go into hondamarketplace.com if you want to look for the motor and swap it yourself. there are a majority of people that are selling b-series motors but i'm pretty sure you can find a d-series there for really cheap.
