I've got a 2001 Civic DX, Manual, with 100K miles on it. I've kept up with the oil changes and did all scheduled maintenance.

I'm going coast-to-coast on a roadtrip which will total over 8000 miles when its all done... is there anything you'd recommend I do before I go, or any parts I should carry as spares? I'm doing another oil change Thursday...

Check your brakes, your belts, tires, the usual suspects. All your fluids as well, coolant, obviously if your doing your oil check that, tranny oil etc

As above, i'd make sure you got pretty much new tyres 8k is alot of wear for your tyres. i'd also take some spare oil, water and toolkit with you.... nothing big just the most commoners.
And just take it easy... let your car run at service stops for about a min to let everything move round and cool down before turning it off.

Apart from that i dont think you'll have any probs have fun and good luck

just put gas in it and go. you'll be fine. oh wait, 100k? have you done your 105K service? i'd recomend doing it before you go. timing belt, waterpump, sparkplugs, transmission service, valve adjust.
nah...just go. do that junk when you get back.
well...do it some time anyway...
