Unhappy I lost the Metal wire

I recently changed a light bulb in a 2003 Honda Civic. The metal wire snapped off!, and now when i put the bulb in it's very loose. I placed the bulb in the rubber piece that you have to remove to get the bulb. Then i snapped the connection in. Do i really need that metal wire ??, if i do, how do i get a replacement?

Re: I lost the Metal wire

you mean the metal bulb holder clip? yeah thats pretty important. the boot alone will not keep it aligned exactly where it should be. as far as i know you cant buy them separately. i can check and see if i have any extras. yup i got a spare one, its for 01-03 civic sedan headlight only. im pretty sure it wont fit coupe lights. you can have it for a few bucks to cover shipping.

okay. you can make one from thick wire too just use your other one as a template and bend the same shape with pliars.

The clip for the sedan and the coupe lights is a little different.
