looking for rims

I am looking for a good set of rims for my 03 civic ex, and have a couple of questions.

First off, I dont want to lower the car, bit I want to fill the wheel wells. I dont want to go much more than 17's.......so does anyone out there have a pic of a civic with 17's at stock ride hight?

Second, as far as the tires go, what size is recomended for a 7.5in rim? I have heard 205, but I think that's kinda narrow........opinions?

Re: looking for rims

well from what i have seen any bigger then 17" on a civic look retarted (even my friend with a grand prix wont go bigger then 18" on that).

and if i remember correctly from what i have read, any wider the 215 on a civic will have rubbing while turning tightly and/or need some modification.

but if you go 205/45/17 then your wheel wels should be pretty full.

Re: looking for rims

Actually I just bought a pair of 17" Black Rims. I was really confused regarding the tire sizes because I work very far from home and Hwy traffic is rough so after doing extensive research I've got 215/45-17 Tire Size, and they are absolutely awesome, my odometer reading is extremely close to being accurate. On the road they feel great, making U turns or Curbs turns are a breeze.

Everyday I see on road pple with thinner tires parked on the shoulders with a busted tire. So really it's upto u. If u want looks go for 205 if u want real performance go with 215. That's just my opinion from my experience, others might disagree.

Re: looking for rims

thanks for your input guys, I did some poking around on the site and found the "offical rim picture gallery" and has a ton of pics with different wheels and tire sizes, and ride hights for those with the same questions.
