Re: Looking for a better ride
well, you cannot really have a "smoother" ride and handling at the same time given the constant variable. that variable would be your civic.
its trade offs....
better handling or smoother ride.
oem will give you just about the best ride...
how much "better" handling do u want? because for better handling, you sacrifice ride quality. this aint no BMW man.
with that said, if you want to gain just a little handling, and better ride quality (better than stock), i would suggest teins S tech + tokico blues... that will give you better handling (compared to stock) with BETTER ride quality (compared to stock)
because Htechs (High Tech) springs are made of a material called Vanadium used in many many performance luxury cars.
http://www.tein.com/products/high_tech.html
if you want better handling, be prepared to shell out some $$$$.
it is always better to get coilovers because coilver's spring+strut are made to use in sync with each other...
SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH... is what i suggest you.... such suspension systems like: koni yellos + eibach ground control, tein basic/flex/street, progressive, megan, buddy club........etc
https://www.civicforums.com/forums/4...ease-read.html
there is a whole suspension thread dedicated to it.
if you MUST do just the spring, there are compaies like tein Stech, neu speed, eibach, H&R...etc
again, SEARCH....
and always, get a camber kit+alignment. its a must......if you do it, do it right

Re: Looking for a better ride
i have personal expierence with teins H techs... they ARE indeed better ride quality than stock, but they only drop you about 1".... paired with tokico blues, you have a unmatched ride quality compared to any other setup, including stock.
i also have personal experience with koni yellows + eibach Ground Control. they are basically coilovers, and the performance is compared to the higher end coilover setups... plus the koni yellows are dampener adjustable, so you can adjust it to stiff (better handling) or smooth (Better ride quality)....
