Front and Rear Strut Bars

Hey I am new here. I searched around a good bit but couldnt find exactly what I was looking for. I have an 02 Civic Ex coupe with manual tranny and I want to put both an upper front and an upper rear strut tower brace on my car. I also plan on putting a new intake in the future. My questions are ...

1. Which brands will fit the front without having to move anything around(I read something about the cluch fluid reservoir) and will fit with an aftermarket intake.

2. How difficult will it be to install both of these. I imagine the front one would be pretty easy, but the rear seems like it could be more difficult.

3. Do you have any links which have pictures that might help me with the installation.

My hope is that I will just be able to bolt both of them on one afternoon and be done with it and then down the road I could throw the intake on it. All I have done so far is put some 17x7s on it and I just want to get rid of all the body roll anytime i take a turn over 5mph. Thanks.

...w...e...l...l...my first thoughs when reading this:

you just sound like you're saying you searched when in reality, you probably didn't
i am trying to be nice here, so if you cannot find pictures of either of these on a car yourself, then you probably shouldn't be putting them on...

i just have to ask, but HOW did you search?

to answer all your questions in two words...

Re: Front and Rear Strut Bars

neuspeed front upper strut is best, rear upper is useless.

Re: Front and Rear Strut Bars

eh, i felt a difference when i put mine on...that's with everything stock...and with the Neuspeed front upper and lower on.... front just seemed to stay planted while the rear bounced some... but i guess it depends on where you live and all. PLUS, my rear upper actually goes to the tops of the shocks in the trunk, where some (like the Neuspeed for EP/DC goes to frame supports...in the trunk pass-through

wel, from seeing other posts similar to this over the years, i and his name not car oriented or self oriented, i kind of believe we won't be seeing any more posts from this user. just thinking realistically

Re: Front and Rear Strut Bars

front sway bar makes a big difference in handling...

however, you must get one that is a single-piece design...such as a neuspeed...

as for the rear, a strut bar makes a difference, but minimal. a progress (or anything like that) makes a BIG difference as well...

Re: Front and Rear Strut Bars

im lost on these things. so a upper front strut goes under the hood and the rear upper goes in the trunk and the lower tie bar goes below in the rear right? kus i like how it looks on ek and stuff and how it handles.

Re: Front and Rear Strut Bars

ok.. here we go.. 1st this topic has been covered dozens of times... but anywho. as already stated, neuspeed and dc sports are the best out there. i'm pretty sure you have to move your clutch fluid resevoir with any of them. its just a matter of taking one bolt out moving the thing down and bolting it back in. yes you can install both of these in one afternoon, if you know what you're doing less than an hour. you need a 10 mm socket, an extension, and a 14 mm deep socket. all that being said, these things dont really do much by themselves. if you are really tired of body roll, save up and buy a set of struts and springs or coilovers. it wont make the car faster, but it will make it a ton more fun to drive.
