Differing results with eibach pro?? Poll..

I'm planning on getting the eibach pro kit this weekend ($195 parts, $100 labor too much?) and man searching through the threads I see all these various results.

Camber got screwed up. Camber didn't get screwed up. Requires camber kit. Doesn't require camber kit.

.8" drop. 1" drop. 1.3" drop. 1.5" drop.

Rear tires got trashed. Tires fine.

Struts blown. Struts fine.

Either the springs are very inconsitent, people have sportlines and think they have pro, or people are just pullin each other's legs. Yes technically any lowering requires re-alignment, but are people who saying that I need camber adjustments saying that from personal experience or just observation?

How many of you with eibach pro and no other suspension mods have no problems? How many of you have problems? I'd like to take a poll to see how risky investing in them are. Also can u tell me what kind of tires you're using? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated

Well, the Prokit is the least mild drop at 1" - 1.3". A guy that works at the Honda dealer in Dallas is installing mine next week for $310 so $295 is a good price. He also said that more than likely I wouldn't need a chamber kit but that when we take it to get aligned, they will check the camber. The specs allow for a certain amount of variance in the camber and if it's within the tolerance it will not adversly affect the car. As far as blowing struts, I'm sure alot of that is dependant upon how you drive your car. If you drive like $hit, then more than likely you'll blow the struts, but if you drive normally, they should last for a while.

The Prokits will drop the car ~1inch. Most likely you will not need camber kits. The eibach site doesn't recommend them with the prokit. Not that you may not need them but it is not a must like with a larger drop. You would be better off with some aftermarket shocks as the combo will really improve handling and it will save a lot of time by installing them together. IMO, a 1inch drop shouldn't put too much stress on the oem shocks. I would think they would be fine. I have prokits coming next week. Don't know when I will have time to install them.

Are you kidding? Looking at those online guides its straightup scary. The only thing I can do on my car is

a) change spare tire.

b) change battery.

c) fill up gas.

I look at those DIY's and I think to myself "...okay ... but how do I remove the spring?". People talking about banging the strut bar with a mallet alone's a real turn off. Spring compression machine? Allen key? Wha? I'm usually adventerous, but when there's a risk of messing up my transportation to work that's a big turn off.. If there was a more step-by step guide I'd do it, but those guides make it look like its a simple chore that can be done in an hour. Maybe the springs come with an installation guide? That might compel me to do it.

Other ppl with Eibachs, what are your experiences with suspension problems?
