Dromo 1 meet and photo shoot
okay all you crazy *** street racers lol pft but serriously the next 7thgen meet for September is going to be at Dromo 1. Followed by a photo shoot at the Honda Center. hondas at the honda center wtf? lol Well some of you are asking what is Dromo 1? Dromo 1 is one of the best indoor go karting places to go in socal. What do you get at D1? The driver gets to where a full helmet, racing suit, and drive a stratus go kart powered by a honda motor.
The date and time is tba because school does start in september and people do have jobs and such. Just to cover the basic info the better times to go to D1 is mon-thrus because they have their 3 races for 50 bucks. this is a good deal because one race cost 25 bucks. also with that said if you only do one race you will be disappointed because you wont get to fix your driving line and increase your time. the downside to going durning the week is most of the people that are good meaning the top 100 drivers go durning the week.

Or
2. We decide on a time that we want to meet at D1 and then figure out what time we are going to race.
I personally perfer to do option 2 because when i go usually it is not a big group so we can find a slot to race with each other but with a big group say 7 or 8 drivers (full grid is about 9-10 there have been time where there has been 12 cars on track thats alot of people but the most fun!) you might have to wait awhile to get all in the same race. it all depends on how many people are interested.
I hope to see you all there and dont worry you will all be reading the back of my helmet which says no lift. lol/j/k

and kyle that why we are planning this way in advance so that people can get the day off from work cuz it would suck to have a big meet turn out really small lol

how much is the endurance one? i had a "company" meet there and had it for a few hours. we took turns taking laps. it was dope. i'm wondering if we have a lot of people going, the endurance one might be cheaper than the per race. =/ i'm only available weekends

ey......dromo1 kinda sucks....
K1 is better IMO.... the reason being is that the torque is so little getting outta those corners...it makes you mad....

BTW, if this is ur first time at dromo one, i can get you TWO races for the price of one.
2 races (bout 25 laps or 14mins) for 25$ (which is the cost of 1 race)

that would be good to give to people and dude the fact the the karts at d1 have no torque compared to the k1 karts is what makes it good. k1 has torque but no top end hence why their tracks have lots of turns and very few straights. d1 tracks are pretty balance because they are about monentum driving. And momentum driving is alot harder because if you srub off some speed in a small part of the track you can get passed quickly. so they really make you drive the perfect race to win
the enduance racee that they have in sept is gonna be 69 bucks per person which im gonna do. anybody want to be on my team? i might have another driver im not sure yet so if i do i will need two other drivers. but if you are talking about doing an enduro event/mini gran prix i think that is about 500 bucks
and for a friday meet we could do but the price will be 25 bucks a race and guys this place is open until 10 mon -thrus fri- sat 11pm and 9 on sun

haha i remeber my first time there omg i sucked compared to the guys that i go with but yeah back then the track, was less gripy, the karts where a little slower and had tires that didnt grip as much as the set that have now. but they keep changing the grip levels of the track so some track setups are good if you are a drifter and some are good for grip it jujst depends.

i went to d1 tonight and the new track rocks! you can grip or drift this track i did both. it wasw really fun but the people i went up against sucked unfortunatly but they had some hot girlfriends.

i dont have any pics left of my mk3 i think maybe on my myspace i might have some old pics of it and as for a date i think maybe we should have it on weds the 10 so 9-10-08 only because csulb starts the week before i think. kyle knows and i think we should try to meet up there at like 8pm for an 830 race. the 3 for 50 will be going on at that time so yeah we should be okay i will check to see if there is an event that day that could conflict with our race.
