Stock ecu gone bad!!!
Hi . Im having problems with my stock ecu. I was using a f/ic with my turbo setup with no problems. So a month ago the car started to misfire then the mph and rpm gauge stoped working. The car moves but it seems that the car is real rich and the check engine light is on. I disconnected the f/ic and my mechachic said that the stock ecu was fried
because it doesnt comunicate with the obd2 scanner. I left it on a ecu store and they did some testings and said that it was fine. I can buy a new one but i have to program it and i dont know if it still be running bad. Can someone help me?

Re: Stock ecu gone bad!!!
What other gauges are you running and how do you have them wired in? I piggybacked off the stock coolant temp signal wire (pre-ECU) and it completely ****ed everything up until I unhooked it. No tach, no OBD port, running stupid rich, everything you describe.
More and more I see folks having problems with the F/IC. I'd give AEM a call and tell them what's going on. If the gauge thing isn't a problem, they may have an idea of what's going on.
If you have your stock injectors, put them back in, unplug the F/IC, and start the car. If it idles normally (don't drive it), then the problem is the F/IC.
