Aftermarket battery helping pulley woes?
If I got a more powerful battery, something like the optima oones that Gray is getting, would that help out with power loss caused by aftermarket AEM pulleys if I'm just gonna be running a 400w amp?
batteries do not make power. adding a higher amp battery wont make up for the loss, it will actually probably hurt your alternator more(just like adding a secondary battery without an isolator).the only way
to regain your charging power is to get a higher amp alt. or put the stock pulleys back on.

Well, from what I have read recently, as long at you are getting 12 volts our of your alternator, then with a 400 watt system, you are right on the borderline. Check you output with a meter to see if you are getting 12 volts. Normally, with the regular pullies, one gets a bit over 14 volts. 12 volts is the minimum.
