loud BANG from rear - into and out of driveways
Allright gang, I'm fairly certain this is a blown shock, but any alternate views are appreciated.
2003 Civic, 105K miles on it. Still original shocks and springs, not dropped at all. Every time I go out of a steeply sloped driveway or up a steeply sloped driveway into a shopping center, etc, I hear a squee-BANG coming from my passenger side rear wheel. I tend to associate it with the shock compressing, but I suppose it can happen when the shock is releasing. Sometimes I associate it with a squeek, but I'm not sure about that being the case all the time.
I know I need new shocks just from the mileage, but are there any other warning signs in the bushings, etc I should watch out for? Is the noise a blown shock... or something more sinister? Anyone have problems with bad bushings doing this?

I am leaning torwds the shock.
I say order some new and while you are replacing them take the time to inspect the rest of you suspension.

yeah probally a shock. generally shocks should go bad at about 80k. sometimes you see them as soon as 40k. you should probally need them anyway. replace and see if it goes away. bushing is the rear usually dont go bad. the only thing that usually goes bad in the rear is the stabilizer endlinks and shocks. pull on the endlinks and see if they pop when you pull up and down. it moves and its bad
