7th gen stereo antenna help

I had my windows retinted. Took me a while to figure it out but when they stripped the old tint they also stripped some sizeable pieces of the rear windshield antenna and the signal is off now. I thought about using some of that conductive gel stuff to patch the breaks in the antenna but that would mean stripping the tint off again and the breaks are large enough that I don't think it would work.

Besides taking it back to the tint shop, anybody have a suggestion of how I could rig up something to fix the stereo reception? Also, anybody looking to buy a stock 05 EX 5spd w/23k miles for $12900?

Re: 7th gen stereo antenna help

You can purchase a diff antenna. They make them that hide in the dash. It may not work as good as the OEM but it would work better that what you have.

Re: 7th gen stereo antenna help

Just have the replace it. if you get another one just make sure its connects to the chassis some how, or it will still be a crappy signal

Re: 7th gen stereo antenna help

a lot of places have a policy that if they mess up the antenna it's not their fault...at least the places that I have gone have had a sign up front that say "if we damage your antenna, it's not our fault"

Re: 7th gen stereo antenna help

Thanks everybody for the help. I'll probably get an in dash antenna. I've read that the one at Autozone works well.
