Hi everyone...I'm new to this forum. Taking delivery of my 08 EX-L Coupe on Saturday. I have been reading quite a bit and I'm somewhat concerned about the amount of rattle complaints. I'm assuming the 3rd gear issue is just on the manual transmissions? I'm very excited to get this car and I hope I'm not making a mistake!

dont worry too much about it for 2 reasons!

1. Ive had my FG1 for close to 1 1/2 now without any rattles or any other matters.

2. If theres a problem, its under warranty.

the reason so many people have rattles is because they take their cars apart so much. There are very few that come that way from the factory. If it does get a rattle they wont give you any problems fixing it under warrenty. I went and checked out an EX-L a couple weeks ago and wow the leather really makes the car feel more classy. To me it felt like a mini BMW lol.

I absolutely love the car! I got it for around $1800 below MSRP which was $21,345. I think that was a fair price for it.

Having clear bra installed in 2 weeks. Also having the windows tinted and remote starter installed this weekend.

I do hear some rattle in the rear passenger side whenever that wheel goes over a bump or rough road. I think it's the seatbelt buckle hitting the plastic. I will put something to dampen it and see if it goes away.

I really like the idea of leather in the civic. I test drove an ex manual and it felt sooo much better than my old '01 coupe did. The price of these new exl's is right about where my 07 accord ex was....its a tradeoff

FYI, when I had my Vic socks work VERY well to hedge rattle noise. Just take the pannel off and pop a sock beneath it and pop it back on.

I wouldn't focus on a non rattle car too much, my new BMW rattles more than my civic ever did

Bought a new 08 black 4 door EXL about a month ago w/navi, don't buy any of the option from the dealer go online and save mucho $$$$ most things are easy to install yourself. Collage Honda even offers an easy to follow pod-cast.

very nice....i just picked up a 08 ex, no navi or leather.....I already have a sony nav. portable and leather....well lets say i've poked and cut a few seats w/ crap in my back pockets.....I dig my car....

Nice Civic, i have an 08 EX-L with Navi as well and love it. I looked at the atomic blue but ended up getting the RR, I actually payed about the same price as you haha
