My gauges do not work and the illumination of the guages and center consol are out. The only thing on is the emergency brake light but the car works perfectly fine other than that.The car is stock no mods . It was a intermident problem but now its all the time. Any suggestions i need help ! thank u all in advance. 2001 civic ex 2 dr

you blew a fuse.. open your fuse box, locate the fuse for interior guage lighting and replace

Doubtful that it's a fuse, being that the problem was intermittent. A fuse is either good or bad. I'd check the fuse then go to the dealer. Sounds like a short somewhere in the system. Good luck.

new cluster from ebay will cost less than paying the dealer to diagnose the problem that you already know

if it aint a fuse then its the whole cluster. Anything goes bad in the cluster then you have to replace the entire unit. You should also check the little bulbs on the back of the gauge cluster aswell.

one of the bulbs was out and i just replaced it so far so good only time will tell if thats it i will let u all know! Thank u all for the help!

if the fuse blows on anything.......then there is a short!

fix the short, and you fixed the problem!
