How much HP gain from CAI & Exhaust??

G@y question, but just curious anyway......... I know its not like 20-40 hp like what the dealer says, but hopefully its not just 1 hp either, also i know civic's are hard to tune since they are tuned so well stock already but just wondering anyways

With intake a new header catback and exhaust your looking around 5-10 hp. Not bad but its going to cost you around a grand.

less than 4 HP. AEM did a test on a 2k1, put CAI, headers, and exaust on a 2k1, got 5 HP out of the deal.

our cars are just not modable for more power through I/H/E. spend your money elsewhere.

Someone here with DC Headers AEM CAI, and DC TCS dynoe'd 13 horsepower but a slight loss in torque..with an I/H/E combo.. depending on the combo it could be from 5-15hp.. mostly likely in the 8hp range.

Cheers

5-10 is a good estimate, and yes it seems like a small number. However, on light cars like ours 5-10 is ok. Well...maybe not but its still better than nothing.

It all depends on the combo of parts. Everyone refers to the dc stuff only making 5hp and conclude that all part combinations will achieve the same. Outright ingnorance. Anyhow, 8-10 would be reasonable and that is a pretty good increase percentage wise. Our cars are very light and little gains will make a difference. It's not like you are adding 8hp to a 450hp viper or something.

Ignorance, it is a terrible thing. That is with DC'S BOLT-ONS "ONLY." Import Tuner saw a 6hp gain from a hayame intake and I think the tcs exhaust and the STOCK header and cat. This basically tells you that dc isn't the greatest at increasing performance, at least for our cars.
