Re: tein flex for 02 em2

ive got them. And it depends on what you want them for. I love them and hate them at the same time. For me they were not the greatest idea. Im only 17 and the car is my daily driver and i live in canada in the country and we have crappy highways. I just got them this summer and im still not sure how i feel about them. I got them off a show car that the guy only drove on weekends and stuff and he only had them for 4 months. They were basically brand new. I didn't get edfc because it only takes 2min to adjust by hand but EDFC is still cool. I love the fact that they carry the tein brand name and they are "real" coilovers not like the ones my frends have at school the sleeve ones. Those guys are all jokes. Now to the part that i do like about them. The performance is amazing. My civic with FLEX, nesupeed strut bar and 205/40/17s handles absolutely amazing. Ive taken full corners at over 60mph and never even started to skid and thats without a sway bar. Im pretty sure they saved my life a few times wen ive been doin stupid $hit. The car is way faster because of them. Like i could probably beat my friends swapped b16 integra on a road with bends and stuff. The bad of them is basically poor daily driving ride quality. Its really bouncy. A good alignment and a strut tower bar help a lot tho. I usually drive with the dampers set at 2 or 3 and that is plenty stiff enough for me. the highest ive ever had them was 8 and the handling is undescribable thats how good it was but i felt like I was gonna puke from all the bouncing cuz i was on a crappy road but on a good highway at stiff setting its amazing.

thats good info but why would the ride be so bad?

if you can change the settings wont that stop the bouncing?

Re: tein flex for 02 em2

the spring are really stiff and i have had them like as soft as they can go and its still bouncy its not too bad tho. I dunno its up to you but for daily driving i'd say you're better off with superstreet. Except I do like the shock height adjustibility of the FLEX and in that case they are deffs worth the extra money. I would reccomend them to you just be prepared for the ride to be not as smooth as stock. But performance wise the control is amazing. If you do get them i highly reccomend reading the instruction manual LOL and getting a neuspeed strut bar or dc. Read the instructions because farther left doesnt mean softer ride. Lemme know if you have any other concerns
