I just bought some reverse glow gauges from Autotechnic and the instructions it came with were quite vague, and since I'm not an experienced installer I could use some help. I've installed the physical portion of the gauge just fine its the wiring I'm stuck on. The gauges are connected to an inverter box and there is a negative (ground) and positive line that needs to be attached to the parking light switch. Where is the connection point I need? And which is the best way to attach it?

ok on the left hand harness there is a black and red wire, you need to solder it into that wire. It really is that simple. Now, I just twisted and taped mine. Also, the ground wire I put into a screw hole and grounded it that way. There are probably better ways but I did it this way and it worked. It is very simple but I can understand feeling uneasy about doing it.

Also, the plastic on the gauge isnt too rigid so I used a razor and a pair of pliers to notch out wire guides. I felt pretty uneasy about squishing the wires to the gauge faces. Also, the power wire i tapped into was like I said, black and red. I remember the black in the wire being like a dotted line if that helps you any. I also remember trying to search for this stuff when I went to do it and I could not find anything so I am not gonna say anything about that :-P

Well I have them on a 97 civic, I just tapped into my actually gauge lights on the back harness of my cluster so they come on when I turn my lights on.

just make sure ground is good, dont pick a random screw that looks like its a ground. there are some easy spots but they are not the best and the lights will flicker sometimes.

Yeah I hear ya on that one. I made sure I stripped enough of the ground wire done so it was nice and tight. No problems whatsoever.

i've actually got an 03 cluster in my car (vp model doesn't have a tach)

i like them. they have a unique look that i haven't seen in any of my friends cars. and you can adjust brightness and shade of color too. not to mention in the daytime they still look nice.
