81 Honda Civic

Hey Guys i am just wondering what can i do to my car to get it running a bit quicker without spending lots and lots of money cheers guys.

i realy hate to say it but an 81 is a carb engine. not realy anything you can do to that to make it quicker. cat back exhaust is about the only thing you can do with out getting deep in your pockets.

Ah ok mate cheers for that but,

do you think its worth me buying a turbo then putting it on my engine blowing it up then getting like a b16 ot some engine like that and putting the turbo on that ??

you said you didnt want to spend alot of money rite? so the answer to that no it wouldnt be worth it. 1. if you tried to boost the carb motor you wouldnt have any kind of fuel management. and would more then likely blow up with in the first few miles. 2. in order to install a b16 in to that car the fabrication time alone would cost you more then anything. 3. when and if you got the b in it you would hace to start all over again with a new turbo manifold,ic piping would have to be redone again and still would have to buy some sort of fuel management. see where im going with it? hope this helps with your decsion.

Cheers mate well i am probably better of buying a cheep muffler welding it on and just driving the car untill it dies and get a datsun or another civic maybe something newer lol cheers mate

Prelude motor from the same year with your current transmission. You will need the 2 extra motor mounts that came on the prelude.
