Tein flex hub size problem. Need help making them fit. Experienced people help!!!!!

Ok so i am going to get a set of tein flex coilovers. I have seen pictures of these but have not yet seen them in person. In the picture it looked like they had not been drilled out to fit a 03-05 civic. But the part number said 01+. What i am worried about is when i asked him to measure the hub hole size he said it was around 16mm. Does this mean that I should not get them??? Does anyone else have tein flex coilovers on their 01 and how did u get around this. Like i have the pic and theres green paint inside the hub hole. Do all tein coilovers just automatically come with 16mm holes.

Re: Tein flex hub size problem...Do they all have 16mm holes?

They come with 14mm holes. You can drill them out on the coilover by using a drill press or a dremel (I don't recommend a dremel, but it can be done). You also can call them to see if EP3 ones would fit, but you have to make sure 1) that the holes are 16mm and that the tie rod end is the same size as yours.

no ok i have an 01 and i am buying a set off of a guy i know who has an 04 and had them on for a very short time and the coilovers have the tein sticker that says for 2001+ civic on it. But at the bottom of the coilover he claims he measured 16mm. And in the picture he sent me the holes did not looked drilled out cuz there was still paint on the inside of the holes.

get some 14x16mm adapters and problem solved, I know K-Sport supply these adapters with their coilovers for our cars, you might be able to purchase them just give them a call. You'll need 8 of them.

well sorry for the double post to those of u that get offended but are the ksport adapters for coilovers or are they for your hubs if you have an 03-05??? one of the guys seems to think they are for reducing your hub size. What can i do to make my tein flex coilovers fit my car.

if ksport makes adapters then they should be able to be used with any hub. You also may think about finding metal cylinders that are 16mm OD, and 14mm ID.

Sorta like this but with holes in the middle.

Re: Tein flex hub size problem. Need help making them fit. Experienced people help!

ive b een thinkin about doin that. But im having the problem that the tein flex are 16mm and my hub holes are 14mm. I thought about gettin cylinders like that and drillin out the center and cuttin em to thewidth of my teins. Can anybody tell me if the ksport adapters are for the hub or the coilovers. I HAVE AN 01. NOT an 03-05 just because i think somepeople are confused. I think tein makes the parts for them and the guy just didnt include them with the coilovers. Cuz on the diagram it shows washers that look like they have a reducer on em but my coilovers dont have the reducers with them.

just called tein and ksport. Ksport makes the adapters $2 a piece. They go on the coilover. They are emailin me pics now. I'll post em up later. Tein also makes the part i have the part number but they are $4 each. I dunno which ones i want. What are ur opinions.

Ok, i was confused. I though the other way around with the 14 and 16mm. Yeah, either one should work. They are adapters so just go with the cheapy ones. Besides, they both probably get them from the same company anyway...
