and i lend it to my sister, she completely eats the curb , rips off the bumper and bends my rim, so i take off the rim to go get a new one an i see some bent and broken metal but i dont know what the piece that broke is called it was the piece right under the axle which is sort of shaped like a Y and two bolts connect it to the car and another bolt to the rotor, so if anyone can pleeeeeeeease tell me i would greatly appreciate it so i can buy it here is a pic of where it is located http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...DSC02414-1.jpg

^^^ good post, beat me to it. Where are you deployed to?

Its called a lower control arm (LCA) and they're pretty easy to replace. You just need a couple sockets (17mm and I think a 15mm) an Allen wrench, a pair of needle nose pliers, and a hammer (to whack the LCA to separate it from the spindle). Buy a new cotter pin (15 cents) to replace the one you take off as well. Easy job, about an hour tops.

lol.. i need to change the deployment thingy.. i was deployed to the persian gulf, patrolling the north arabian sea and north arabian gulf, but i got lucky enough to get temporarily assigned to assist the shipyard when my ship pulls back into its homeport.. my ship is still out there (the uss john c. stennis) and i meet the ship in hawaii on its trip back home.

but yea.. back on topic the piece should be easy to replace
