D17 Turbo manifold options @ Dezod
Well, we are contemplating offering some new manifold options to suit some peoples needs. I would like to get some community feedback 1st. So we are thinking of having 3 different manifold configurations.
First off will be the "AA" manifold.
This unit will be polished chrome finish, not made in house, but has all of the same construction as the current D17 models. This piece will be VERY competitively priced in the $325-400.

Second will be the "AAA" manifold
This is the CNC version in the other thread, which will have some nice features and quality. This will be priced around the area of our current configuration of $490-550.

Third will be the "Race Manifold"
Tubular and crazy enough to hold 14+ PSI and make siiiiiiick top end power. WIll be in the $850-950 range.

you might say no but this is an idea maybe have a kit for the log type. but instead of coming assembled you just send the part for the people who want to weld it together them selfs. b/c i am looking for a manifold now but the one you have now will not fit my turbo that i want to use. so i would have to weld up the hole it has and then retap it for my turbo.

Awesome, Im getting pretty close to ordering my kit...
Are these going to change turbo placement at all to make an air filter fit easier?

Very nice Paul. Your AA definitely has a unique look, unlike any other I've seen, but hands down the AAA is my favorite. I only hope you'll still be carrying it when I get around to my second stage in about year. This first part broke the bank. That and momma wants a new 3-series!

Re: D17 Turbo manifold options @ Dezod
AAA is complete at the plant, and should be ready for photographs soon. This manifold being made of mild steel is quite nice, but can rust easily. So coating might want to be excercised. I had the place put high temp black coating on it to help keep the visual rust to a minimum (for picture sake)

This may be my ignorance in manufacturing and R&D elements, but why the difference in composition between the AA and the uber manifold, the full race? Is it a matter of weight and subsequent stress on the head?

Re: D17 Turbo manifold options @ Dezod
The composition of flow is where each and every model differ from one another. The AA and AAA are more entry level, daily driver type manifolds, while the race is for higher boost and higher revs.
