Im New and I need help!
Hello everyone,
I have been looking for a good forum, and I liked what i saw here. Everyone seems cool. Anyway, I have been working on my project car, 98 1.6 ATcivicLX(got it when i was 16 before it became a project and didnt know any better) and i am stuck trying to figure out what to do next. Here is what is done so far.
- 17" MSR 113 Silver Wheels.
- R34 skyline style front and rear bumber, that i need to repaint. (generic skirts)
- Tsudo cat-back exaust.
- Tsudo Header
- Cold Air Intake.(soon to be AEM V2)
- MSD Distributer Cap/Rotor.
- MSD Blaster SS coil.
- NGK Plugs and Wires.
... So my question is, what should I do next?
For a while now i have been thinking about swapping out the AT for an MT, but i know that is a major project.
Any suggestions of what i should do next?
(I will post some Pics when I get some good ones.)

that at to mt swap might really be more work that you realize. if you have it done professionally, chances are good it will work fine, but i have read about some people doing it on their own and having a lot of kinks in the end. until you either get a car with a mt or do the swap, you really dont want to do much power wise like FI. the auto really just cant handle much more than the 100 hp it was designed for.
Instead of repainting the body kit, maybe you could try throwing the stock stuff back on and get a lip kit. That will prolly cost about the same as repainting the bumper covers. personally i think lip kits look 10 fold better than just about any body kit on the market.
lets see some pics tho

imo get rid of the aftermarket bumpers and put back your oem ones and get a front si lip. As for bolt ons they seem alright but I hear tsudo can be quite loud and attract cops. As for the tranny swap I would wait til you motorswap then swap trannies at the same time (b20vtec ftw) or just sell the car and buy a 5 speed

Re: Im New and I need help!
Thanks alot for the input guys. Selling this car is pretty much out of the question. It was free since my parents bought it for me when it had like 16k miles, and now it still only has about 70k. I plan on driving it till the wheels fall off, literally. Plus, there is totally no chance of selling it to the general public, since i dont have alot of the stock parts that came off. Remember that i started this project when i was sixteen and stupid. lol. I went about alot of the DIY stuff very poorly. Threw away alot of stuff, did alot that cant be changed, so i am going to try to get as much outa this baby as i can before its gone. Plus it was my first honda(sentimental value, lol). I work at a Firestone in the summer, and have alot of certified techs that help me with everything, and cheap shop time. I also have access to a booth and industrial sprayer so i can paint the kit myself. I just rushed through it before, some of the poly shows through. Anyways, when i get done with school in about 2years i will have a steady income and buy an SI, but until then im stuck with the LX. SO you say no turbo huh? I was thinkin maybe leavin it AT and slappin a Turbonetics Kit on it.
