Is there any word about whether Honda will be adding ESC to the 2008 Civics? At least the EXs perhaps? The Civic lost its gold safety rating with IIHS because it lacks this feature in the North American Civics. It should be a fairly simple addition for Honda to do since the Japanese made Civics have it.

The 07 Canadian Acura CSX, with 2.0L engine, is essentially a Civic Sedan; the top-of-the-line Type-S has 4-wheel discs and VSA (traction and stability control). That Acura's a pricey car, though, but they make them in Ontario, and the technology is already available, as stated. Asking about 08 is a good question, but two sets of good tires are a better answer.

My 07 SI coupe has Stability Control (VSA).. That was the final selling feature that made me buy the SI over all the other econo cars out there! IT has awesome crash test results, stability control, and side impact curtain air bags and frickin stability control for less than 20g's.. It’s the best car going for the money, performance, and fuel economy
