I have no opinion on the rear strut bar, but I gotta a neuspeed one in the front, and lots of people on this forum have the neuspeed one as well. There are 2 reasons why people get the neuspeed bar. For one, it works. The second reason, it clears pretty much any aftermarket intake. Ebay and generic strut bars usually intefere with aftermarket intakes.

Our rear dampers are bolted right to the trunk floor... which makes for a pretty good "tie bar". the older civics had individual shock towers, where having a tie bar attaching them together could help.
So yeah, A rear tie bar isnt really going to do much.

The rear is useless. I had one and took it out because it did nothing.

Eh, they may... assuming they are based on the same chassis. Most of the suspension parts between the EM, EP and RSX are interchangable.

No problem, Most of the Info we have on the EM2 is regarding whats avalible in the US. Since the Civic Type R was never offered in the US, we have little info on if it has a front strut tower bar let alone if it would fit an EM2.
Neuspeed front bar is a good choice.
Just want to add that, some people felt the need for a rear strut bar because they think the rear needs to be strengthen because it feels unstable (not like a strut bar will benefit handling in any ways other than rigidity). Mainly because their setup and possibly their alignment is not ideal, and during mid corner bumps the rear end wanders around.
