Hey guys,

Just installed a header on a 2003 Honda Civic LX and now am getting a CEL. Code is showing P0420 - Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold

Is this cause I don't have a cat anymore and furthermore, can I buy an O2 simms and just eliminate the last O2 sensor? If so, where can I get an O2 sensor?

Help is greatly appreciated.

oh no not agian.. well 1st, yes you not have cat anymore is one of the reasons. 2nd you can just buy this so called CEL ELIMINATOR and i dont know if thats the same thing as the 02simms. you can buy this cel eliminator at ebay for a pretty cheap price. trust me, it works! that will solve your problem.

What is best to use for this, and electrical fix or mechanical one. Anyone using this one?

I have heard good things about the mechanical one. There is a thread about this and the guy that made it has been running his like this for two years with no problems.

i hope your not in CA. The fine for no cat in CA is like $3000-5000.
