Do they lose Money on the Prius

It has been said that Toyota loses money on every Prius that they make. When you hear this you may ask yourself why Toyota continues to make the Prius. Or better yet, you really should ask yourself, “Is that really true?”
Answer:
No, Toyota does not lose money when it sells a Prius.
In the beginning they may have lost some money on each Prius sale, but every since late in the 2003 model year, the Toyota Prius continues to make a profit for Toyota. With it’s near iconic status, I’m sure Toyota will continue to smile with each Prius sale.
There you go...the Hybrids are starting to being in money...so...they are here to stay ...no?
