$20-$30 is defintely cheap! I bought mine from slo rex few years ago for $50.
$100 is not worth it.... unless someone has a 01-02 LX/DX and is desperate to keep things OE, that wont sell.

wow those should not go for more than 50 max! ebay sellers are kinda crazy sometimes, ive seen old clusters for 200, a tape deck yes tape going for 150

Okay, maybe it is just me. Still, I knew that starting out at $50 seemed a tad optimistic, not to mention a Buy It Now for $100 being outrageous. Like you said, though, maybe there's someone out there desperate enough and needs to turn their lease in soon. Who knows...

Yeah, I'm okay with my stock system. I put it back in after I got rid of my Alpine and it's fine for me. I'm awaiting a SE HU soon and will put that in, but it'll probably be the only thing I change for right now, other than adding tweeters. Plus, I'll keep the OEM HU and box, because, yes, I have a lease that'll eventually go back...

i could not imagine listening to stock speakers, and deck isnt great either but man when i first got the car new and turned the radio, my friends and i were like wft is this? just adding speakers helped a ton.

There was a slight difference between the OEM HU and the Alpine, but not enough for me to miss it. Maybe it was because of the stock speakers that the Alpine didn't impress me too much?

Honda did update the sound system for the 04-05 civic's. I think the stock speakers sound pretty good with my Kenwood HU and I am pretty surprised I haven't blown them yet.

lol ya not even the best deck in the world can make crappy speakers sound good. i noticed a gigantic difference when i got the alpine, even over my old pioneer. the tweets running off deck got 2x louder, and also i have an amp too so maybe thats why. but for a simple deck it makes alot of difference.

The stock stereo lasted a week in my car, and thats because I went on vacatin for that week. Had Alpine HU and eclipse speakers installed and transfered over my 2 12s. The stock 01 LX speakers are some of the worst speakers I have heard. They had to go!

Well it is OEM. Oem products are so overly priced anywhere you go. Just look in the honda sites accesories. like 250 dollars for a rubber mat. WTF

i think suzyq is sellin an oem with the code for like 20 bucks or something. dont hold me to that price though. check her thread. ive got a new deck to go in mine but i think the oem one is sexy. ive still got stock mids too. but i got 2 jl 12's and a 300 watt mono pickin up the slack. the stock mids are holdin up pretty well. sometimes i have to strain to hear a guitar solo or something, but the sound is decent. id rather have go fast goodies than a loud radio.
