I have the pansonic vd6503u, when i turn the sub off from the HU it goes off on cd mode but when i switch over to radio mode its just not as loud but still on. Any ideas???

more than likely you hooked your remote turn on wire for your amp to the power antenna (solid blue) lead on the back of the radio. try making sure its hooked to the blue wire with the white stripe.

wouldnt that turn the sub off no matter what than when switching to cd? i can turn it on and off when in cd, but when in radio i can turn is on, and than when i turn it off it just gets quiter but is still on

hmm.... how old is this radio? i'm guessing new.

when you shut your subs off, how do you do it? like what do the options say when you do?

and also, does the amp turn off when you turn the subs off?

its new, you go to speaker setup and click sub and it says yes/ no. didnt get a chance to check the amp,

and i am guessing it has SUB OUT RCA outputs on the back?

its a possibility that the sub off function reverts back to whatever settings were on the radio side when you switched over to CD.

Then again, something may be wrong with the RCA outputs. just depends on if you have sub out or not

got outputs and settings stay the same when switching. its under warranty so im gona send it out to get looked at. Hopefully im not without a radio for too long...
