woot, first with alpine navigation!!
okay, here it is finally, i haven't seen anyone on this site or any other site/forum on the internet that has the total package heh..so i guess i'm the first... updated Alpine Blackbird installed onto pmd-dock, connecting to the Alpine IVA-w200...i couldn't be more happier with it, wiring took forever though...

the vss is the blue/white wire in the big harness right behind the glove box. I just shoved the wire coming from the nav into the harness and it was tight enough and it never fell out, though tapping it properly would still be better.
hmmm..i'm wondering if the colors are different for the auto and manual because i found the ecu wiring diagram on here and it shows that the speed sense is pin 18, which is a white/green wire..... i'm gonna cross my fingers and try that one

Ummm sorry bud, but me and FiatDale have had Alpine Navigation in our cars for over 4 months. Not to mention there are about 5 others i know of that have Alpine Headunits and Alpine Navi, also, friends mom has the blackbird with the D310 hooked up. I'm opted for the Full Navigation instead of the blackbird. Sorry, but it looks awesome man.

haha, i guess i'm the first to actually post pics of em then,, btw what do you mean by full navigation?? the blackbird seems as full as a navigation can be
or at least does everything that any other incar navi can do Banished to the Depths of Rice.

they are teh same....blue/white wire........ if u search for it, you will have plenty of results....
it shows u step by step.... thats how i found it for my AVIC-D1
Testing VSS wire: Set multimeter to AC volts, tap the wire in question and run it to the red lead on your meter. Send your black lead to ground. Take the vehicle for a spin. You should be very low near 0V when stopped and then jump up quickly once moving and slowly move up in voltage as speed increases. When you stop quick the voltage should drop fast all the way to 0.

you want a cookie? he wasn't the first like i already told him. Your AVIC N1 may be awesome to you, but i like the D310 over anything out there, i don't need any dolphins or crap flying all over my screen. The quality of Alpine to Pioneer isn't the same. It has been proved that Alpine is a better product than Pioneer. Pioneer is about eye candy. They draw you into their products by pretty screen savers and lights. Alpine focuses on sound and that is why I chose their headunit. So i'll spend my money the way i want, you spend it on w/e you want.
