It'll work. Hook the P-Bus cable up between the deck and the IB100II. Blue plug of cable to the blue port on the deck, black plug of cable to the black port on the box. Apply 12V to yellow and black wires and enjoy.

If I had an ipod video I'd would go halfway with you on that auction to see if that works. However, I only have the nano.
If you do find out if it works, let us know. I'm interested to see, even though I don't have a video ipod.
Hmmm, yeah you're right. I read further and realized there really is no particular product for sale. Seems sketchy...
Best iPod interface on the road is a touch screen in dash unit
Second best is an Alpine deck with full speed cable and utilizing QuickSearch. I think the idea behind these direct units is that you don't want to use the iPod, it's supposed to be more seamless than a bunch of cables sticking out every which way. Whatever. Set up your playlists!!

But fortionately I have stumbled upon a solution to it!!
How fortionate for everyone. (dry sarcasm)

ok this is what seller sent me haven't tried it yet posting this here any way rep for me if this works..
I’ve discovered two methods that seem to work:
Step #1) Turn on your car so that the radio is functioning.
Step #2) Keep the ipod unplugged from the radio, but keep the ipod in one hand and the radio connection in the other.
Step #3) Hold down the play button on the ipod, and before the ipod powers off plug it into the radio. You will know if you did this wrong if you plug the ipod into the radio and it powers back on immediately. This means that you shut it off before plugging it in. In order for this to work, you must hold down the play button and continue holding it until the ipod shuts off after it is plugged in.
Step #4) Turn the ipod back on. You’ll see the “Pioneer” screen, but if you give it a few seconds, and then press the menu button, you’ll notice that you can navigate the ipod windows just as you should have been able to normally.
Now that is the method that I normally use. I have however found a different way:
Step #1) Turn the car off and unplug the ipod from the radio.
Step #2) Turn the ipod off and put the hold button to the hold position.
Step #3) Plug the ipod back into the radio connection and wait a few seconds.
Step #4) Turn the car on, and the charging screen should come on.
Step #5) Turn off the hold button, and you should see the pioneer screen. Hit the menu button and it should take you back to the navigational menus, allowing you to work the ipod normally.
Have fun.

u are using this audio video wire
http://cgi.ebay.com/AV-TV-Cable-30-6...QQcmdZViewItem
if u using this wire then you have to install a switch to watch video while driving.. or park your car and pull the EB

this does work but u have to do this every time after u start your car..... u can watch video on your ipod but not on the screen and u can navigate the ipod contral while it hooked up to IB100....

good find... rep for you. does it make the speed of the controls any faster when using the deck?
I leave my ipod in the glove compartment and it's not very practical to fish it out and try and search songs that way, or change playlists

Thank You for the rep....
Hey jay the ipod control works but for some reason I can't play the videos on my screen. I am using the IB100 II adapter(my dvd player is hooked through the a/v). Everything on my unit has been bypassed, I can watch DVDs and do a destination search without the ebrake being engaged, and still no video. Any ideas?

same here no video on screen..... i ask the dude who i got this info from... and he said that wont work ...
i even try to set my ipod as tv output ON and still didnt work..
all u can do is what video on ipod and sound on your deck...
u can purchase one of those av cable but u not gone get clear sound tho here this is what i am talking about....
http://cgi.ebay.com/AV-TV-Cable-30-6...QQcmdZViewItem
OK everyone, so that everyone is clear, this allows those that use the CD-IB100 and hate the way they control their iPod on the Pioneer deck to instead us the iPod itself to control the music. You are basically instead raping the benefits of the CD-IB100 and only using it to get sound from the dock connector and charge at the same time. The CD-IB100 is incapable of sending video to your Pioneer deck!!! The video is not pinned out on the connector for this unit! Instead, I would suggest using the RoadShow cables. These utilize the dock connector and allow you to charge and pull Audio/Video from the dock connector!
