my kenwood deck i jus got with my 2001 civic ex had gone weird... by that i mean it jus shutoff today. it wunt trn on until i hit the reset button but then it only works in standby. if it goes to cd or tuner, it jus shuts off before the music comes on. i checked all the wiring but found nothing... any help would be great

check wires again, pull the deck out and hook the battery and ignition (red and yellow) wires to + battery and black to ground and see what it does. it should operate normally. if not, you have a wire problem either in factory harness or the deck harness, or something is grounding out.

Funny you say that, mine went this week too. It must have been programmed to do it so we buy new ones. At first, it was a sirius antenna issue, then my aux input went bad, then the cd player, now the damn thing won't turn on unless I disconnect the battery and reconnect it.
