Unhappy PSP and Aux input

ok so I installed my nice new Pioneer DEH-P4800MP, and ran a stereo mini cable from the headphone jack on my psp to the aux input on the back of my pioneer hu. Problem is, even with aux selected on the HU, the PSP still plays the music through it's own speakers, like it doesn't detect the mini jack connection. Anyone know how to fix this???

Read the manual, or contact pioneer.

i say it's something to do with the psp or the connection. did you try it with headphones to see if it works? are you sure you have the right cable?

Did you add the aux input jack as one of your sources on the pioneer deck? Cause i have the same deck, and it doesn't self detect you have to go into the menu and add it.

Try sumthing else out, like a cd player or mp3 player. Find out weither its the deck or the psp.

turned out to be a problem with the PSP, for some reason it wont detect the mini jack cable unless i plug the wired PSP remote in between the cable and the PSP
