electrical/alternator question

Alright guys, so I bought a set of kappas for my civic, and I was happy that they were 2 ohm, since my audiobahn 6004v amp will run at 150 watts x 4 to power them at 2ohms. The question I have is, does this mean that it will be drawing twice as much power from my alternator, since it normally runs at 75x4? Or is it just running more efficiently?

If it is drawing twice as much power, will this be a problem? I also have an original Basslink running at 200 watts.

Thanks!

yes it will be drawing more power, you need at least 4 gauge but i suggest the next size bigger (2 gauge) cause you might not be keeping that basslink forever and might want to upgrade your sub setup. it wont be a problem cause it's not that much power.

Well, I bought the 4 gauge RF dual amp wiring kit. Think I'll be good? I don't see myself ever going any more powerful than a self-powered type sub... not a bass-head anymore More into this for a good quality sound at levels that won't make me deaf in 20 years
