Problem with magnaflow....if you have one, please help!

i searched but didnt get my question answered! so i need help!!

well i got my magnaflow cat back put on today...but there are a couple of problems!!

well first of all...the pipe that goes like under the passenger seat is about 3 inches from theground if that much!!! its scary cause ive scraped twice today now!! i dont see why its that low, is anyone else having that problem?

well another thing......there is something seriously vibrating under there....it does it at idle and when i accelerate and especially when i turn my wheel!! I dont like it.....

i wanna drive and hear the exhaust but i cant cause it vibrates and scrapes!!!

what can i do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im gonna take it back to the shop where i got it done tomorrow but what can they do....any ideas???

I would say just take it back to the shop.....mine hangs a little low but not low enough to scrape...make sure they have the exhaust clamp turned sideways so that don't hit....as for the rattle...i have no clue but mine does not do it. Good luck!

hey I just installed mine in today too, DIY, I have no problems with it, hmmm maybe your clamps aren't in tight enough or the pipes aren't slipped in all the way or bolts aren't tight enough.....about the scraping...shoot I have no idea. Hope this helps, good luck.

first off, you get 2 mid pipes, one for the lx and one for the ex. the ex one has not flange on it, so i tossed the ldx one. next, it shouldnt vibrate that much but it does hang down. turn the clamps side ways and get shorter rubber hangers to pull the exhaust closer to the body. ive had mine on for a month and its working better than when i first installed it, no vibrations at all and a better sound. hope that helps you guys

I agree with the above.

I've lowered my car 2" and I have no problems.

You should have one extra pipe left over. One midpipe is for the ex, and the other is for the lx/dx models. They hangers could always be adjusted to raise the exhaust up some which the installation people can take care of.

I am having problems with mine leaking. I put it on myself. I just couldn't get the muffler to seal air tight with the mid pipe. I am taking it now to have the pipe welded together.

Does anybody have the magnaflow exhaust on a sedan? The tip on my muffler extends like 3-4 inches past the bumper. Anybody know if this is how it is supposed to be or should it be almost flush with the edge?
